The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
sharing emotionally fulfilling trips with "the Greatest Generation"
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
encourage more businesses to get involved and donate
More feedback
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
it's a very small act of gratitude that we can give to the WWII Veterans who really did save our way of life...I also like that safety is a top priority...at the least, three nurses with well-stocked emergency bags go on each excursion
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
each Veteran has a volunteer "Guardian" that stays with them throughout the day to ensure safety and enjoyment... all "Guardians" not only give their time but also pay their own way...these are the kind of great people who participate...
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
safely take all WWII Vets to Washington DC to show them our deep appreciation of their service and sacrifices...not with just a fast one-day trip, but charter our own plane and stay a couple of nights in a nice hotel...all free of charge for the vet
Ways to make it better...
it wouldn't rain...but we supply rain ponchos, blankets, umbrellas, etc... for everybody
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the race against time...statistically, we are losing approximately 1000 WWII Veterans daily in the USA
One thing I'd also say is that...
encourage a veteran to fill out an application, and other folks should volunteer to be Guardians, and all businesses should donate......we would not have the America we enjoy today if it were not for these humble heroes....
