My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Big Cat Rescue, Corp., Tampa, FL, USA
The cats had beautiful enclosures that were far larger and more comfortable than those in any zoo. The cats could walk, climb, find sun and shade, and (best of all) each had a house or shelter where it could get out of the rain or hide from visitors. The tour experience was calm and informative. Staff and volunteers were respectful of the cats as friends and equals, not as mere livestock or objects. Since my visit, I've followed Big Cat Rescue's news and updates and have been very impressed with their continuing improvements to the sanctuary and activism to benefit all cats and exotic animals.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I admire this organization's administrative and financial transparency and honesty, which are vital for the health and safety of the cats. As a former volunteer for a domestic cat shelter than imploded, I know how disastrous bad management can be.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
they keep the cats as happy as they can be, under very difficult circumstances.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
enthusiastic, well-informed, professional, and devoted to the cats. They were also concerned with public safety and education, and were well trained in these areas.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Probably stop the trade in exotic cats in the U.S.
