Review for Guidestar, Williamsburg, VA, USA

Rating: 1 stars

I found that the review of the National Center for Public Policy Research that Guidestar linked me to was an utter prevarication. Not only were the facts completely wrong, but there was a direct attack on the integrity of the officers of the National Center. I myself am a small donor and know there is no junk mail or hounding or repeated requests for money. I have also checked the financials and know over 2/3 of contributions go to program expenses. Guidestar threatens its own credibility by linking to and so endorsing GreatNonprofits and its libelous reviews. I use

Ways to make it better...

Guidestar had removed its link to GreatNonprofits because that organization does not check reviews for libelous intent

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

representing charitable organizations accurately.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I'm completely disappointed in Guidestar, which at one time was gave honest information

Review for Greatnonprofits, Redwood Shores, CA, USA

Rating: 1 stars

I heard about GreatNonprofits today when I read a deliberately mis-leading review you published about the National Center for Public Policy Research. The reviewer claimed the National Center hounded her father, sent repeated junk mail and bankrupted him, and also said the Center wasted its money for personal use. I know from personal contact with the Center and some of its researchers that none of this is true. Their research is impeccable, and they will take the time to talk to me to answer questions. I'm a small donor and get 2 letters a year, at my request. GreatNonprofits makes a big mistake that threatens its own credibility when it does nothing to verify reviews and refuses to delete reviews after provable facts discrediting the review have been given to it.

Review for National Center For Public Policy Research Inc, Washington, DC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The National Center for Public Policy Research is the best organization I know to expose excessive government control over our lives and pocketbooks. They publish Shattered Dreams, with details of victims of government regulatory abuse and property seizure. And in 2009 published Shattered Lives, with dozens of individual examples of failed government health care and deaths in the UK, and other Western countries with socialized medicine. Their research is top-notch and verifiable. They are as good a small organization as Heritage Foundation is a large organization.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the dedication of the staff.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
