When I volunteered at the Wolong Panda Research Center in China in 2006, I adopted a cub there. Since then I have been adopting 2 cubs per year through PI. The pandas desperately need help because, as everyone knows, they are highly endangered. PI was there when the severe earthquake struck Sichuan Province and destroyed the research center in 2008. They immediately sent supplies to help both the people of Wolong and the pandas who all had to be moved to a different facility quite far away. What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the care and love the people at Pandas International have for animals (especially pandas) and the people who care for them--and how quickly they respond to requests from donors. PI publishes an online newsletter and sends emails about all things pandas.
