What do I like about the Greenway? Everything! As a volunteer gardener in the city I've seen how valuable our Open Spaces and Parks are to residents and visitors. Who knew when we attended all those Big Dig and Move Mass 2000 etc. meetings that something so beautiful would come out of it. All thanks to the Greenway Conservancy. I've been a volunteer in the beautification of the Southwest Corridor Park, the Charlestown Library planters and Courtyard and the 13th Circle in the Navy Yard. I've learned that the most important thing about public spaces is upkeep. The Greenway Conservancy has put together a great volunteer program. I enjoy volunteering because you meet the nicest people from all over the city. It's not the Champs Elysees yet, but it's growing.
