Trees, Water & People

During the course of my 9 months with TWP, I have grown to realize the incredible dedication of its staff members. TWP is committed to transparency, not only through its national and international programs, but through staff relations as well. This degree of honesty keeps TWP staff accountable to one another as well as the mission, allowing them to exercise creative problem solving facing any office or project difficulty. They are always so welcoming and appreciative of volunteers, and truly work to engage the community in all that they do. I have been lucky enough to serve as an intern/grantwriter, and so have become intimately acquainted with TWP's programs and partnerships. These programs employ a terrific balance of scientific knowledge and community empowerment to allow beneficiaries to take charge of their natural resources. This is hands down the most genuine and effective organization I have ever worked with.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
genuine, committed to the mission and each other, and very commuunity-oriented. They work so hard to accomplish their tasks, and they never complain even when their workloads are immense. They ALWAYS take the time to speak with you.
