Friends of Great Salt Lake
April 11, 2010

one of the more effective and respected organizations i am aware of. it is a pleasure to work with such committed board members, staff, and volunteers to protect and increase awareness regarding the Great Salt Lake and its magnificent aesthetic, economic, and ecologically critical values.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

visting the Lake on a regualr basis wtih my family and enjoying and appreciating the healthier ecosystem that results from this organizations work.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

increase efforts to bring in new members and educate and expose the public to the rich resource.

More feedback

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

feeling i am a part of an organization that is accomplishing.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

committed.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

effectively reach out to more of the lakes neighbors, mainly those people who live near it and don`t really appreciate it.

Ways to make it better...

I spent more time exploring the Lake.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

maintaining a presence as an advocacy group and not an antagonist organization.

One thing I'd also say is that...

there is much to be learned from this organizations effective efforts.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

MY ROLE:
Board Member & I have continued to work closely with area political bodies and leaders to raise their awareness and appreciation for the Lake and its values.
