My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Sara Sanctuary, Seguin, TX, USA
I have always wanted to be involved with an animal shelter but could not find one that believed in what I did. Until I found Sara Sanctuary. I believe No kill shelters work and I believe with love any animal can find a forever home and be a great pet. Sara rescues abused animals of all kinds. Dogs, Cats, Horses, cows whatever has been abused neglected or abandoned. They allow that animal to live and give them a second chance at love and life. This is the type of organization I want to embrace and give my time too. Sara doesnt have hundreds of Volunteers. They have 4 people who keep the shelter running and a few volunteers to help now and then. One thing they do have is an abundance of love. The animals are well cared for and they nurse each one back to health and help them get ready to go to their new home. This is the shelter that does the most and receives the least. They deserve all the help they can get.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
No kill. The right to live policy.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Amazing, giving, kind people
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Save more animals and become the number 1 no kill shelter in the United states. I believe they could do that with less than 10 million.
Ways to make it better...
The shelter would be better if it had the funds for a makeover and could afford shade trees and the many things they need. Their priority of course is for food and medical
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
One thing I'd also say is that...
Before you donate to another shelter, make sure they are in as much need in Sara. 90% of Sara's funds come from the general public. They dont have tons of money coming from foundations or the government. They are in sincere genuine need.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
