GREAT RIVER GREENING
April 8, 2010

This is a top notch environmental volunteerism organization. I've worked with them for several years, doing invasive species removal and site clean-up and planting, on helping their management to plan education initiaives for volunteers, and on supervising volunteers on work sites (working alongside them all the while). Independently and by conicidence, my place of work screened many volunteer organizations for an Earth Day initiative we started last year, and found this one to be the most professional they came across. They are well deserving of my praise, and of your precious time and money.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

- Project organization and management (they do a great job) - Educating volunteer supervisors and volunteers (again, great job) - Beautiful, clean sites after invasive species removal - Visiting/seeing sites a few years after clean-up and replanting

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The great people, the professional way the organize, and the particular opportunities available.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Diverse, enthusiastic, helpful, fun!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Restoring plants to native species helps the environment on so many well documented levels, so I won't go into that. With the money, they could make huge progress in reaping the benefits of restoring the critical little green space left in the state.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week
