My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Wenar Productions Limited Actors Conservatory Theatre, Yonkers, NY, USA
ACT’s adolescent troupe performance of All Shook Up is a joyous ,roust about musical of the misadventures of cris-cross forbidden unbridled love. The cast and ensemble group had the audience gyrating and swooning to the50’s tune of Heart Break Hotel, Jail House Rock, and Hound Dog. The musical direction of George Croom, choreograph work of Jan Paganelli and stage direction of Jen Langford gives us all the thrills of a Broadway show with what seems to be a seasoned group of youth performers. Kudos to Joe Picard as Dennis whose comedic timing is masterfully done, and also to Olivia Paganelli whose rendition of There’s Always Me rocks the house. All voices and performances are in good form, but its Nick Paganelli arousing, robust recreation of an Elvis persona that fuels the audience’s engines. The sold out toe tapping laugh rock -a-Billy musical leaves us to wonder whats next, as we can’t help to want for more, more, more!! ACT is Yonkers’ treasure that never ceases unearthing the precious talents of adolescent theatre.
