My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Veterans Medical Research Foundation Of Sd, San Diego, CA, USA
I work with and have donated to this wonderful organization, which is founded on the principle that all veterans should have access to the finest, research-based healthcare -- honoring service with science. It is a private, not-for-profit organization that is not VA funded; it helps secure and administrate outside funding for the groundbreaking research being conducted by the physicians and scientists at the VA San Diego Healthcare System. As a donor, I know that the organization's administrative overhead is very low and that my dollars are going directly into better care for veterans.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the true dedication of the researchers and staff. These people don't just care about the science, they truly care about the veterans that are being helped. They are passionate about honoring service with science.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
extremely hard-working, professional people, very motivated by their cause.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
unlock the answers to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury, the two signature health issues of the current wars. It could help scores of young researchers whose promising research projects are never implemented, for lack of funding.
