My husband and I have assisted The Hugs Project for four or five years by supplying needed supplies and when health permits, working at their facility. They touch so many soldiers lives with the work they do and it is staffed entirely by volunteers. We heartily recommend this group as a very worth while organization.

I heard about The Hugs Project accidently and filled out a form for my nephew who was stationed in Iraq at the time. He received a package and was very excited to share it with his fellow squad. The contents of the package was just what he needed at the time;kool aid powders to put in their thermos was a great addition. The beef jerky,cd's flashlight and more goodies to eat. Thank you so very much The Hugs Project.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Seeing the volunteers shipping off boxes to the troops (100 people) is so heartwarming. Many came to help,even a state congressman. It was a massive job to pack and tape and label 1400 boxes.

The volunteers are a great group of people. They have formed a very close group of concerned citizens. If someone is living alone and lonely, this a terrific place to make friends.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

not have to scrample to find funds for shipping. Most of the ingredients in the boxes are donated. It is extremely difficult to find the funds for some items that are too expensive to be donated and to ship more and more boxes.
