My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for SIERRA CLUB, San Francisco, CA, USA
I am from a lumber company-owned town, so you can imagine how I felt about the Sierra Club! My opinions have changed over the years, as I have learned more about non-profit conservation organizations. I have become involved with trips led by Sierra Club members and have had long discussions about what is right and what is wrong with how we, as a country, treat our lands. I believe that the Sierra Club is on the right path towards giving our grandchildren a country they can be proud of.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
meeting like-minded people (regarding conservation), and feeling like I was having a unique experience.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
positive and well-trained.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
do a lot more grass roots work at many local chapters.
Ways to make it better...
more people signed on with varying political views. I'll admit I don't know how that might occur!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
not always being constructive. I admire other organizations who try to avoid the head-to-head combative approach.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every month
