My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Marine Families, Tampa, FL, USA
I joined this organization after my son joined the Marines. I had no idea what this new thing "The Marines" was about. The people in the group were helpful in sharing their knowledge and expeiences to put my mind at ease. When my son was deployed to Afghanistan all I had to do was ask and they were there to talk or cry with me. When he was hurt in an IED blast the first person I thought to call was a member of TAMPA. Again they were there for me. This is truly a support system for service family members. My son has left the Marines, but I can never leave this group or the people who have become my friends. I joined for personal reasons, but I stay to now give back to other members and to our troops.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Their response to my emotional needs during my son's deployment.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The sense of giving to our troops who give so much for us.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Help all the veterans in the area who need so much help.
Ways to make it better...
I had met them sooner.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Gaining the respect of the military for what we can do to help.
