My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet Inc, Jamestown, NY, USA
CRYB does a great job of raising the overall standard of dance in Chautauqua County. Their performances are all very professional and of the best quality. The training the students receive prepares them very well to continue on in the world of professional dance. It is nice to see students who have progressed through the program now teaching some of the beginner level classes because they both understand the community and environment their students are coming from and also know exactly what is expected in terms of skills as the students move on to the upper levels of the program. It bodes very well for the future quality of the entire program. CRYB also has a really good scholorship program in place to assist students who could not otherwise afford to participate.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
witnessing the young people perform such an amazing quality of dance through hard work and effort.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
always kind and considerate while at the same time demanding the best of those participating in the program. They always seem to make the work fun.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
move to a new permanent location that allowed for larger programs and more presence in the community. A large influx of money would also allow CRYB to raise the standard of quality even higher than it is currently.
Ways to make it better...
CRYB had enough space to store it inventories on site and space enough to mount bigger and better productions.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
marketing and corporate sponsorship. The quality of the current programming is in place but could be even better if the financial burden of operations was removed from the equation.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I hope CRYB continues to grow and develop both as an organization and in its reputation as it's dancers move out into the larger community of the professional dance world.
