My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Tennessee Women's Theater Project, Nashville, TN, USA
I attended my my first Tennessee Women's Theater Project production about two years ago. I have attended nearly every one of their shows ever since then. I am always very impressed with the quality of their productions. Although scenery and props are minimal, the actors that work their stage are absolutely wonderful and the direction is near perfect. After meeting the people who put it all together, I decided I wanted to be part of the Project and volunteered to help with publicity. I have become a fan of local theater due directly to my experiences with the TWTP and try to support other local groups whenever I can.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
sharing the theater experience with friends. We always try to get up a group for dinner and a show on a weekend that the TWTP has a show scheduled. Best of all, it does not cost all that much !!
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
talented, enthusiastic, welcoming, generous with their time, willing to take risks with their art and in need of financial support.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
afford better publicity, build or lease a modern theater, foster the development of woman writer, actors, directors and stage craft staff (managers, lighting, sound, etc.).
Ways to make it better...
more people in the community came to enjoy the shows.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
gaining community support and increasing audience size.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Maryanna and Chris Clark have a wonderful vision.
