My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for SLB Radio Productions, Inc., Pittsburgh, PA, USA
What a true example of community and people-oriented radio! For more than 25 years, I've listened to this show grow and become more and more community-oriented and motivated in it's drive to explore the achievements of kids and teens in the arts, and to engage families the last few years at the Children's Museum as it's own "exhibit", where families can experience radio and media first hand. Also Larry is a real networker, motivated by his care for kids and families, instead of giving lip service to the term like other radio programs do. Plus the quizzes are great fun for all ages, and Larry has a wonderful, warm way with kids and adults.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
calling in and talking, listening to Larry's way of engaging kids and young artists' on the radio, his and his wife's dedication to the show. Plus it's a very funny and mentally stimulating show!
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
actually I've not met any. Only talked to em on the phone.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
become Michael Feldman! (just kidding) (actually, I think they have an audio feed on a local cable channel)
Ways to make it better...
can't think of a way that it could be better, actually. It just keeps getting better on it's own!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
probably finding more people and funds to continue to do the great job they do and to manage all the guest artists they have... not sure.
One thing I'd also say is that...
It's a show that has given great pleasure to so many people here in Pittsburgh over the years, and also to people around the world via the internet.
