Review for Arts Midwest, Minneapolis, MN, USA

Rating: 4 stars

We have benefitted great from Arts Midwest and their work with the Performing Arts Fund and with The Big Read Program. We have been a part of the Big Read program for four years in a row. We're hoping for a fifth.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

They are SO ORGANIZED.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

VERY helpful

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Do TONS MORE PROGRAMMING in the upper midwest.

Ways to make it better...

I had done the final reporting earlier.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

The amount of work to do all of the reporting.

One thing I'd also say is that...

We would ALL benefit from this.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About once a year

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  Client Served & received funding.

Review for FERGUS FALLS CENTER FOR THE ARTS INC, Fergus Falls, MN, USA

Rating: 4 stars

I am the executive director of this organization so, while my first impulse is to give it 5 stars, I know there is always room for improvement. However, we do such a wide range of really great stuff and I am so proud of our Staff and our Board and our Audiences and our Performers - both locals and guests - that I barely know where to start. Our downtown in the small town of Fergus Falls is becoming a hub of cultural amenities, restaurants, galleries and performance spaces. We hope you make us your destination some day.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the growth and the depth that I've seen over 15 years of working with the arts and the community

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

amazing...capable...friendly...enthusiastic

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Build a new theater with enough space for classrooms, wing space for dance companies and enough cash to hire enough staff to make it even better.

Ways to make it better...

I didn't have to do so much theater tech as part of my job here.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

time and money. talent, no problem

One thing I'd also say is that...

No matter what happens this organization is made up of survival instincts and they will flourish no matter what.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Donor & I played music on stage and mopped the floor and raised money.
