When my daughter was diagnosed with a mental illness, NAMI provided current information quickly. Then, they provided a safe place where I could meet with other parents in a similar situation. There are/were no bailouts or final solutions, just the comfort and support of others who understood and encouraged me to have hope.
The Great!

parents who have the courage and hope to keep on facing each new day.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
work to expand its visibility and its services in other languages
More feedback
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the comfort level of being with others who understand my situation and offer support instead of judgement
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
accepting, informed, compassionate
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
provide services to more families, and change the attitudes towards mental illness in the USA
Ways to make it better...
I had known about NAMI sooner
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
underfunding
