My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Greater Augusta Arts Council, Inc., Augusta, GA, USA
This organization has given us guidance as we became an official non-profit. The GAAC has promoted us. And when we achieved 501c3 status, we were awarded operating support from the GAAC that has allowed us not only to maintain in this economy, but to expand our programming which has met with much success. Members of their staff are extremely in touch with the local art scene, they are regular members of our audience. This group recognizes and fosters legitimate and worthwhile artistic endeavors. Without the GAAC, the art scene in this town would dry up and blow away.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
their staff is present and know first hand what is going on in the community. They attend events and are honest about their reviews.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
professional and friendly, sincere and honest.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
create and sustain a theatre district and gallery row that could be the focus of regional and national tourism.
Ways to make it better...
The cap for maximum funding wasn't cut to almost half of what it was the previous year.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
One thing I'd also say is that...
We, LeChatNoir, bring considerable commerce to this city as commercial property owners and as a theatre company. The GAAC helps groups like us to maintain and grow through the events they produce and the money they regrant. The GAAC needs its budget back.
