Global Vision 20/20 has an important mission--the bring sight to people in countries where optometrists are nearly non-existent and eye glasses are an expense way out of the reach of most people. In Rwanda, for example, there are only two optometrists in the entire country, and both are in the city. In most countries, there are no eye tests, and even bus drivers may not be seeing properly. Money and the skills of optometrists will never be available to fix this problem, but Global Vision has a practical and inexpensive solution---a revolutionary new eyeglasses that cost less than $20 a pair. Since they are adjustable---you turn a gadget on the eyeglasses and gas expands or contracts between two pieces of plastic--locals can easily be trained to distribute. Check it out at www.gv2020.org
