My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Byte Back, Washington, DC, USA
I am the District of Columbia Housing Authority Family Commissioner elect by the Family Communties of Public Housing in the District of Columbia. My position is a volunteer position which lead me to Byte Back, during the Summer to refreshing my IT skills. I was overwhelm with my instructor from the Mayor Summer Youth Program. I now can use power point, comfortable once again with Excel. The instructors are very patience, and make learning fun. I love the on hand training, and every question was a demonstration instead of an answer. I highly recommend this program if you have to take a test at a temp agency, or want to open up your own business, or if you want to learn to be a IT computer volunteer.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The hand on demonstration without a book.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
sensitve to need of the client, and professional. Very helpful with resources.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Open up a office in every ward to assist those low-moderate income residents whom would never have an opportunity to receive IT. The organizaiton provide subway pass for residents not residing in Ward 5.
Ways to make it better...
There was employment possibilities.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
One thing I'd also say is that...
Each one Teach One. Giving back to those whom given to you.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
