My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Allied Fellowship Service, Oakland, CA, USA
AFS has been very successful in assisting me with my transition from parole to freedom. I was a parolee in the program. I staying in the program for 1 year and once I left I had approx $11,000 saved and was able to get a studio. I also left the program employed and they gave me aftercare services for 90 days after I transitioned. Some of their funding was cut but they are still going strong.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Whilein the organization, I received counseling, family reunification and anger management services. I was able to address my "stinkin thinking" and become clean in sober. I was a cronic drug user and criminal.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Some of the staff were once criminal like me. They understood my bad thoughts and experiences.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Expand and help more parolees. They could make many repairs to their houses.
