Review for Bridgepointe Services And Goodwill Industries Of Southern Indiana, Inc., Clarksville, IN, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I had the pleasure of helping this organization expand services to children with autism and their families by writing grants and planning programs. Goodwill Bridgepointe coordinates an array of resources to assist parents in finding the best treatment for their children, ranging from preschool to therapies to education about autism. It is especially unique that the income produced from sales in their Goodwill Stores provides funding for children with special needs. The Goodwill Stores income combined with community grants and funding creates a one stop center for children with special needs. Goodwill Bridgepointe is a special place. Because of my past experience with them, I am also a regular donor.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the fact that the ccommunity and board of directors strongly support the organization's mission.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very caring people, extending themselves to the fullest to insure that people with disabilities have the best possible opportunties.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

add some specialized services and equipment to further assist people with disabilities.

Ways to make it better...

I could have helped them raise more money while I was an employee.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

consistent funding and public awareness.

One thing I'd also say is that...

financial donations to Goodwill Bridgeointe and donations to the Goodwill Stores are used in a most ethical and efficient manner. Children receive treatment and care and later, when they are young adults, they can be assited in finding a job.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months
