B L E S S E D MINISTRIES INC
January 17, 2010

Already a very successful job development and placement agency in New York City for many years, Blessed Ministeries, Inc (BMI) started working in urban Essex County in the State of New Jersey in the Spring of 2009. Their goal was to work with the hardest-to- place individuals who reside in Newark, especially substance abusers in treatment most of who are convicted felons. In under six months, BMI placed over 100 individuals in jobs averaging $9 an hour with retention rates at 180 days of about 75%. This very productive agency, led by its talented leader - Sean Lacon - helped dispel a myth endemic in Newark and BMI proved that even in the midst of one of the worse recessions in our lifetimes, employers are willing to hire convicted felons with sustance abuse disorders when these individuals are appropriately screened, matched with the right job, and provided with regular support. This is one more example of the outstanding job BMI has done over the years in New York and now Jersey.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

New York and Jersey. Comfortable with performance based contracts, BMI always exceed expectations.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The flexibility and creativity of its leader - Sean Lacon - and the outcomes based business model he has created

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

place and retention tens of thousands of hard-to-place individuals that hertofore have not been helped by other job development and placement agencies.
