JEVS Human Services
January 14, 2010
I have been invovled with JEVS as a Board Memeber and officer for over 40 years. I began as a practicum student, working at the Work Adjustment Center where in addition to learning the evaluation process, observing the then workshop program, I saw at once the determination and flexibility of the agency to meet the changing needs of the commyunity.
Even in lean and uncertain times, the morale among staff and board remained high, and committment to the mission, - making hope happen - unchanging. As funding streams dried up, the agency has been able tio adapt and maintain its energ.y
JEVS growth is attributable to the high caliber of staff and board that has continued since the agency began. This is an agency less concerned with prestige and social status than with helping those in need acquire dignity and productivity. It has been recognized deservedly for ethical and quality standrds it adheres to.
