Review for NATIONAL ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY INC, Tinley Park, IL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have fostered 4 dogs from NAWS so I have personal experience knowing that NAWS is doing a great job rescuing both dogs and cats. My daughter has also volunteered for 2 years helping to care and socialize the cats.
I think 2 example would illustrate how much NAWS cares about animals. One dog rescued was in such poor physical condition that adoption was not an option so Cocoa became an "ambassador" for the organization and lived with the founder until she recently died. As an ambassador, she spread "goodwill" with her gentle and kind personality.
Another dog I fostered developed epilepsy in addition to skin allergies. The emergency vet, treating the seizures expected NAWS to choose to euthanize the dog. Instead, Stacy Gaskins wanted to give Scooby a chance at recovery even though he was a large dog and would need medication and expensive food his entire life. NAWS gave him the chance, as well as paid for his life time medication. NAWS also paid for his obedience training and certification into AKC's Good Citizen award. Scooby found a wonderful loving home.

Review for Fundacion Save A Sato, Inc., San Juan, PR,

Rating: 5 stars

Save a Sato rescues the street dogs of Puerto Rico and partners with other rescues in the United States to find homes for the tens of thousands of street dogs roaming the city. I adopted my mixed dog through a partnership between Save a Sato and As Good As Gold (golden retriever rescue of northern Illinois).

It has been a wonderful and supportive experience.

Review for AS GOOD AS GOLD - GOLDEN RETRIEVER RESCUE OF NORTHERN ILLINOIS, Woodridge, IL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

AGAG rescues any dog that is part golden retriever. AGAG covers all medical expenses and fosters the dogs to insure they are well socialized before adoption. The volunteer foster families know the temperament of each dog and helps choose a "forever family" that is a good fit.
I volunteer to transport relinquished dogs and I have personally adopted a mixed breed dog. This is a well organized group that gets a lot of "bang for the buck" because of so many dedicated volunteers.
