I appreciate and admire The Center for Biological Diversity more than I can express. They use the Endangered Species Act and the legal system to protect all manner of flora and fauna. They secured an agreement in 2011 to protect 757 endangered species and have an unprecedented record of success. Their fund of knowledge concerning the environment, mutual dependency between the various species of life, issues regarding climate change and it's effect on life is superior to that of any other groups I have been exposed to. They have a wonderful way of teaching which educates the layperson sufficiently that we are equipped to extend that knowledge to others, while simultaneously inspiring us to do so. They create and organize opportunities which enable the people in general to easily take political action regarding these issues. They also work in conjunction with other environmentally concerned organizations to increase their effectiveness. They have a great sense of humor and a phenomenal staff. I have read all their bios. I learn a great deal from the Center and it has enriched my life. They have inspired me to become more politically active for the environment than I would ever have imagined myself becoming. They have great smarts and great hearts and apply them in a most effective way bringing immeasurable positive change and hope for a bright future to our Earth. To sum it up I would say they are rock stars, but that would be insufficient. Punk Rock Stars would be a more accurate metaphor.
