Review for Food Bank for Monterey County, Salinas, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Really amazing how many people they serve with a small staff. I've seen a lot of nonprofits that seem to waste money, but this is not one of them.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the people and their dedication.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

dedicated and very hard working. Very committed to the work they do.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

serve more people, build a new facility that they would own and purchase new trucks to increase their ability to serve this huge county.

Ways to make it better...

I could give more time.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the growing need for food, the stereotyped perception of those in need.

One thing I'd also say is that...

They do an amazing job of stretching a dollar to buy $7 of food for hungry families. Their website tells the story very well.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  Volunteer & volunteered at the Food Bank warehouse.
