SERVE, Inc.
September 8, 2008

When I arrived I was terrified. I never knew what it was to be homeless and in a shelter. But some of the residents who have been here before where friendly. The staffs were encouraging. [This review was collected by the SERVE staff and inputted by a GreatNonprofits intern.]

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I believe this organization has help the people it served. I know I am grateful.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

make sure there is respect for the staff and fellow residents.

More feedback

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

They want you to succeed. Even though it may seem to others that they are strict they stay on top of you to make sure that you are doing what you are supported to get yourself from where you are to bettering yourself.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

great, supportive, understanding, friendly

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

have more rooms, expanding SERVE to other counties, have buses, have a daycare center, give the parents break to have some time to themself, recreation gym.

Ways to make it better...

there was no drama. I had experience with a resident that try to belittle others to make him think he was better than everyone.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

having ungrateful people who think they don't have to do their share to make everyone stay enjoyable.

One thing I'd also say is that...

resident phone should have loud ringtone so that you can hear it.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2008
