My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for J Street Education Fund, Inc., Washington, DC, USA
I stand with J Street because as an American-born Jew whose father fought in WWII, I love Israel, and believe passionately in its right to exist, and also think that the path to guaranteeing a future of prosperity, peace and hope involves a two-state solution and reaching out to the Palestinians.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Realizing that I am not even close to being alone as an American Jew who supports and loves Israel but wants to seek a different and better way for a just and peaceful resolution with the Palestinians.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Help to alter the course of world events in the Middle East. And I write that as no starry-eyed puppy; I am 41, I have lived through the Camp David Peace Accords and the horrifying assassination of Itzhak Rabin.
Ways to make it better...
I do not have any room to offer improvements because my experiences as an online activist have been satisfying.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Countering those conservative Jewish organizations who try to claim that J Street and its supporters are "self-hating Jews" or one of the most vicious descriptions I've read of late, "anti-Semitic Jews."
One thing I'd also say is that...
J Street is one of the new organizations advocating a new way to be pro-Israeli that has given me a renewed hope in the future of Israel and of peace in the Middle East.
