My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for The Jewish Congregation of Maui, Kihei, HI, USA
I had never been to a synagogue before, just when I was a child, and we were there for a relatives wedding, etc. The first time we came,it felt like we belonged. Rabbi Glickman and his wife are such wonderful and welcoming people. I had always looked at being Jewish as an ethnicity, like being part French, or Italian. Because of Rabbi David, my son and I, are learning about our religion.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
How they make everyone feel like they belong, everyone is helpful and kind. I couldn't imagine Maui without them.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Do so much, They could build a larger synagogue. The Congregation already provides help to the Jewish and general population of Maui, but with more money, they could do so much more, and could devote more time to education and not worry about fund-raising
Ways to make it better...
When I first went to go, I drove by it, because I wasn't looking for a house. It's very cozy, but I wonder if other people have done the same thing. There are too many churches on this Island, with big signs, But they wouldn't let Rabbi David put one up.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Lack of funds
One thing I'd also say is that...
If I had the means, I would make a large donation.
