JEWISH WORLD WATCH
November 3, 2009
I have been consistently impressed with the devotion, skill, energy and enthusiasm of Jewish World Watch, its staff, volunteers and synagogue membership. I got involved with JWW within the last year, encouraging my synagogue to join as a member organization. The staff have welcomed us and motivated us to do programming related to the humanitarian crises in Darfur and now the Congo. We have brought a JWW speaker to raise awareness about the issues among members of our congregation; joined as fundraisers for the Walk to End Genocide; shared beautifully produced brochures to educate our members during Jewish holidays and will soon welcome JWW staff to lead a workshop at our synagogue's interactive adult educational weekend. Our synagogue recognized the urgency of JWW's work to end genocide and the effectiveness of its campaigns, outreach and fundraising.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
attending successful events with speakers on Darfur and the Congo. I've also seen the active participation of youth, families, and motivated individuals committed to raising funds, advocacy and awareness of the sociopolitical challenges in these areas.
