August 25, 2013
On July 17, 2013, we lost our family dog to kidney failure. My husband and I had rescued her at the age of three. She passed away at sixteen. Her name was Guinness and she was a short hair black/tan dachshund. We fell in love with this breed. On August 21, 2013, I saw a dachshund on petfinder. com that was with D & R Rescue. I contacted Karen for more information. She responded quickly. The process with the application and setting up a time to meet, went very smoothly. On August 24, 2013, I met Daisy at her foster home. She was in excellent care! Daisy came home with a goody bag, leash, collar, food, treats, microchip filed under my name, a folder to help guide with her care, and a copy of the vet visit. She has been with our family for two days and we are in love. Thank you D & R Rescue and foster mom for bringing Daisy to us. I look forward to all the memories we will have together. love-David, Jennifer, Alex, Justin and Daisy:)
