In about 2002, my washing machine flooded my landlord's apartment, and I was evicted. Met Council got me a grant for security deposit and a few months rent. The social worker I dealt with was always very pleasant, too.
More recently, I used their report on Jewish poverty to provide me with statistics to bolster an article I wrote on health care reform and the Jewish community. (I'm a freelance writer.)
The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the help they gave me in my eviction.
More feedback
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
They provide many services to the Jewish community.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
very kind and understanding
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Reach out and connect to more people. Who knows? Maybe they'd head a health insurance co-op for Jews.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About once a year
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
