My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Metropolitan New York Coordinating Council on Jewish Poverty, New York, NY, USA
I had the opportunity to visit the Council and tour the facility and listen to a traing session. I was warmly welcomed and graciously invited to volunteer. Since I was in town only for the day, I made some greeting cards for the eldeerly. When I returned to Washington DC, I told my Hebrew class of my experiece and suggested that they could do the same. The children became very excited about the project and created many cards. We sent all the cards to the Council to distribute to those in need.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Listening in on a training session and hearing the goals, objectives and struggles of the leaders of very diverse organizations. I am grateful to have more knowledgeable about Met Council and now appreciate more fully all that they do.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Simply: help more people.
Ways to make it better...
I had more time.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the world economic situation.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I am impressed with the dedication of the staff to fulfill the mission of the council.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
