Metropolitan New York Coordinating Council on Jewish Poverty
October 31, 2009
My name is Renee St.Lewis, I am a divored Mother of two teenagers, that found herself without a job, and dealing with an eviction process. At Met Council, I was given help through the Career Center, they helped me with Computer skills, and made three resumes from the one original resume I had. I had been searching for 8 months for a job, any Job. Once I got my new resumes, I found a job 2 weeks later as a Production Coordinator for "Talbots". And it doesn't end there... Met Council also helped me with clothes for my new job through "Dress for Success", And again, it doesn't end there, Met Council also covered this months rent for me. Met Council has help me start a new life, I am deeply grateful to Jessica Polsky and Tonya Melendez for all of their help, May God Bless all of the Staff Members of Met Council!!!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
my new job and the new start it gave me just when I thought all was lost.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
all of the help I got with the computer skills and the "Mock Interviews" they did to halp me realize what was wrong with my resume.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Kind and extremely helpfull, They have so much to offer, they are the best.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
help change the world with the support and help they give.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
Client Served & I recevied Career Counseling, Clothes, and help with my rent.
