As someone involved in the animal welfare field over 27 years, I have worked for the largest animal sheltering system in the state, including a rescue zoo, and have run my own purebred dog rescue. When I moved to western NJ in, I was looking to help an organization, and came across Mylestone. I am a horse lover, though not experienced in riding and handling, and soon began helping Susankelly in a number of ways. I've now been doing so for over 10 years. I cannot say enough good things about Mylestone. Sk saves the horses that need rescue the most; adoptability is not the primary criteria - giving a horse that has suffered a chance for a good life is. As a fellow rescue person, this is where my heart lies, and I was so happy to see the wonderful condition of the horses in Mylestone's care and how much they are loved by everyone who cares for them. To me, Mylestone is how a true rescue should function and I am honored to help them.
