Review for Medical Missions For Children, Inc. aka MMFC, Woburn, MA, USA
I co-founded and am the president of the Children of Peru Foundation, a 501c3 charity doing work in Peru helping poor children in the areas of healthcare and education.
The Children of Peru Foundation partnered with MMFC for the first time in 2007 to fund their Cuzco mission. Since then we have financed this mission every single year. This June 2013 will be the 7th time that we sponsor the Cuzco mission.
We cannot stress enough the seriousness and quality of the work done by MMFC. Nurses, doctors, anesthesiologists, surgeons, all participants donate their time and work very hard (days of 12/14 hours worked are common) during the week of the mission. The results are always impressive: children and their families see their lives changed forever after the surgeries.
The Children of Peru Foundation is also very happy with the level of reporting done by MMFC. All the spending is itemized and backed-up with all the needed receipts, and the numbers of surgeries/procedures, as well as quantity of children is properly documented.
MMFC is clearly a worthy charity that deserves all the donations they can get. We are very proud to be associated with MMFC and hope that we will be able to continue making a difference together in Peru.
