I got a chance to interact with Deepalaya when my daughter volunteered. I am amazed with their work, especially in education. They have set up quality schools to provide education to slum/underpriviliged children. waslso impressed with their home (and School) for homless kids at Guspethi. The children seemed to thrive in a clean, loving, nourishing and nurturing envioronment.
Even the various employees that I interacted with appeared personally committed to mission of Deepalaya.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
meeting with some of the alumni of Deepalaya. These young men and women have inspiring stories to tel. They have managed to extricate themselves from the circumstances of their birth with Depalaya's help.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
all personaly involved in accomplishing the mission that the founders had set out to achieve. They were all very commited to the al round development of slum children be it emotional, physcial or mental nurturing.
