I clearly remember when the Renaissance Charter School came into existence 20 years ago.Little did I know seven years ago that I would br raising a little girl. After pre-k I had few options. An application was submitted to The Renaissance Charter School. I KNEW that this school was the perfect school for my child. I also knew that I had to win a lottery. When I received a letter from TRCS I held my breath as I opened it. When I read that she was accepted I cried. I called a friend and told him that I hit Lotto. He asked me how much I won and I told him that I didn't win a penny;my girl was accepted at the Renaissance Charter School. The administration, staff and teachers are so caring and nurturing that I have committed myself to do whatever I can do to repay the school .I am a PTA member, parent representative on the Board of Trustees and I joined several committees. I also make the annual trek to Albany to support charter schools.
