Mata Amritanandamayi Math
October 21, 2009
Mata Amritanandamayi Math is the best non profit I have ever come across in one key way - the impact it has on the cause for every dollar donated. I have an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Business where we studied the challenges and the overheads in managing non-profits. The key detail that fascinated me about this organization is that over 95% of the money donated actually goes to the cause with less than 5% overhead while other organizations working toward the same causes have 40-50% overhead! This remarkable achievement by this organization while maintaining the highest quality of execution in a sustainable manner for over a decade is worthy of recognition.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
every year they expand the scale and scope of the charitable activities.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
use 99% of that directly for the cause.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every month
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
Volunteer & Feed over 150 homeless people every week in San Jose.
