My experience volunteering there was among the best experiences of my life. Probably 95 percent of the team are people you hope to know forever. The other five percent are like the disgruntled intern commenter below and just there for their own self-interest or because it looks good on their resume. Those ones do get the boot right away, but I think that's good. It makes for a better experience for the rest of the team.
