I know this charity has been around forever, but how can I, in good conscience, donate to a charity where the president of that charity makes over $600,000 per year? It's simply unconscionable.

I'm glad I found this great charity and have been donating since 2008. Great work!

My sister passed away from Leukemia and I've always donated to St. Jude - but seeing the outrageous salaries of the top officers has really made me reconsider giving to this organization. I regret that I will not be giving this year. There are other organizations more worthy of my donations.

It's sad to hear the negative reviews and information about this organization. I adopted my first cat from the SPCA in Largo... they were very thorough in interviewing me to make sure I was a suitable "parent" - they microchipped her and gave her a flea bath before I picked her up. I spent 13 long and wonderful years with my cat before she passed away. I will continue to donate but I hope they clean up their act - especially with regard to killing unwanted animals. I know there is not enough room to keep them all, but something must be done. At least they are well cared for and not tortured prior to being put down. Still, very sad.

It's good to give to a local charity that helps cats and dogs find good homes. I get so much mail from the ASPCA and the Humane Society of the United States but after reading about those organizations, I discover that they don't help local shelters and so many other distasteful practices. It's rewarding to know I'm doing something to help those poor unwanted pets here in Tampa - I'd love to adopt them all!

I've been donating for several years and this is a great organization - they use their money wisely and focus on what I care about - helping cats!

As a previous donor, I decided to focus on local SPCA and Humane Societies. Not to mention - the CEO of this organization makes $500,000 a year???? That is unconscionable!
