Starlight MidAtlantic has given me the opportunity to help young families living with kids who have a childhood illness - tumors and cancers, cystic fibrosis, sickle cell, heart conditions, liver transplants ... to make a difference for these families, is the least I can do. Some families have two or three kids in wheelchairs. Starlight provides fun times to just be normal, and meet others going through the same thing - at events and in the hospital. The small staff in DC, works hard to keep programs running all over the region. I'm proud to volunteer with Starlight and have the opportunity to make a difference for the kids and their families.
