My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for HOPE FOR PAWS, Los Angeles, CA, USA
Hope for Paws is an outstanding organization. I am a recurring donor and know that my money is put well to use, mostly to vet bills. I happen to use the same vet as Hope for Paws and the vet and workers rave about this rescue as they only will work with a limited amount of rescues and they tell me that Eldad and his group spare no expense for the comfort and care of the broken and stray animals they bring into the office. Furthermore, this vet only works with a limited amount of animal rescues, Hope for Paws being one of them, since they are the among the few who pay their bills on time. Another bonus I look for in my charities-accountability.
Having donated to animal rescues in the past, unfortunately their is competition among some SUBPAR rescues. It is sadly clear that the post below mine belongs to a bitter competitor. They claim hope for paws has no website? BALONEY! If this person claims they donated, or emailed, they would have had to use the hope for paws WEBSITE.
Hope for Paws has received so much GOOD press and attention, people are emailing, calling and banging down the door to have a "famous' hope for paws "eldad rescue". They have to turn people away. The problem now is filtering through the fanmail, the phonies and opportunists.
People now claim to want a dog, just to meet Eldad in person. The dogs are the highest priority. They have to use partner rescues to place the animals so they know the animals are not being taken because someone wants a dog for status.
Hope for Paws saves animals, (the ones nobody will rescue) then pays the enormous medical bills. They do not believe in boarding (again a PLUS) and they team with only highly rated rescuers (another plus TEAMWORK not competition, they work with the infamous BILL FOUNDATION) who will step in to provide fosters (homes not cages) and place the animals. It is a beautiful arrangement.
As somebody who has donated to animal causes for 20 plus years, has met Audrey and Eldad Hagar, supported the charity, seen where the money goes, seen the animals at the vet, had friends who adopted Hope for Paws rescues-dogs who would be dead otherwise, I recommend them as high as I can. They are even in my WILL!
