I came to the mission after my ex-husband left me with no place to go. He sold our home in new jersey and left me stuck. I flew down to florida to try and reconcile, things didnt work out. I was stuck at the hayes motel with no money and no place to go. I asked the lady at the front desk about shelters in the area, and she gave me the number for the mission in citrus. I called and spoke to jim, i told him my situation, and the next day harry and dave picked me up and brought me to the shelter. I'm gla.d. t.h.e mission was there for me. Everyone there hwas so wonderful and friendly. They made me feel so welcome and loved. Like one big family. They helped me to heal from all my ex put me through and helped me find myself. I even met my new hushand there. We've been together for almost three years and we have a wonderfullittle boy. The mission saved my life. It is a wonderful shelter with awesome people. I think it is the best shelter out there. They really give you a hwnd up and not a hand out. They actually help you get back on your feet and they dont judge you.
