During the past several months, Feeding South Florida has been a complete wreck. Hundreds of thousands of food from Publix, Wal Mart, Winn Dixie and many others is thrown in dumpsters as thousands of people are hungry in our communities. The reason is no leadership at the food bank. They have recently fired or had resigned many top people due to the negligence of the CEO, Paco Velez and the #2 Sari Vatske. The Board of Directors has been asked to make emergency changes and they have refused. Their misreporting of their dontations and distribution gives them a complete F in transparency and with several lawsuits on mistreatment of their employees, the time has come to make changes. We have donated over a thousand dollars and I was employed as the Warehouse Manager-Chief of Operations. I resigned because I was being asked to make my staff and me to misreport information and to conduct our operation in an unsafe manner risking the safety of our volunteers and employees. Hundreds of agencies representing churches, soup kitchens have all cried out for some help yet the Board of Directors and Feeding America has sat idly by and done nothing. I have aksed to come back and make these changes but this has to be with the condition that these leaders who have wrecked this honorable food bank and made many families lives miserable, they must be terminated.
