I have been impressed with this organization's devotion to New York's many immigrant groups. They have successfully won requirements for interpreters to be available in schools, hospitals, police stations. They have also championed a bill to prevent employers from stealing the wages of their workers by making it illegal and putting penalties for such actions. They also work with GLBT teenagers to help them cope with discrimination.
