The Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative is a fantastic, growing non-profit that uses the power of quilters and quilt collectors to fund Alzheimer's Disease research. Volunteer run, the organization keeps growing and adapting to help raise more dollars for research. I always know that the money or quilts I donate will used for a great cause. I was delighted to have a quilt in the first traveling exhibition. Alzheimer's: Forgetting Piece by Piece depicted stories of families, caregivers and loved ones affected by the disease and moved all who experienced the exhibit.
